Root + Blossom: A Mindful Afternoon of Yoga, Community and Kindness in St. Louis
On Sunday, April 26, STL Yoga Collective gathered at Tilles Park for Root + Blossom, a heart-centered outdoor yoga and wellness event created to help our community slow down, reconnect and plant seeds of kindness together.
Set beneath the Gloria Rogers Pavilion, the afternoon brought together gentle movement, guided reflection, sound healing, local vendors, community partners and meaningful connection. From the first welcome circle to the final moments of gratitude, Root + Blossom was designed to feel approachable, supportive and deeply intentional.
A Gathering Rooted in Presence
Root + Blossom was created for anyone craving something softer than the usual social scene. No pressure. No performance. No prior yoga experience required.
Guests were invited to come as they were, roll out their mats, breathe deeply and move through the afternoon at their own pace. The event included all-levels yoga, mindfulness practices, reflection and a restorative sound healing experience.
The day began with local vendor booths, giving guests time to explore, connect and ease into the afternoon. From there, our guides led the community through a thoughtful flow of grounding, movement, openness and rest.

And of course, Benni, our beloved touch therapy dog through Duo Dogs, brought extra calm, joy and tail-wagging support throughout the day.
Community That Gives Back
Root + Blossom was not only about personal wellness. It was also about community care.
For this gathering, $10 from every ticket sold was donated to Mission: St. Louis, supporting their work to empower individuals and strengthen families across our city.
This is the heart of STL Yoga Collective: creating meaningful wellness experiences that support both the people in the room and the broader St. Louis community.

Why Root + Blossom Mattered
In a world that often asks us to rush, perform and keep moving, Root + Blossom offered something different.
A pause.
A breath.
A place to belong.
A reminder that community can be calm, supportive and deeply meaningful.
Whether guests came for yoga, connection, healing, local vendors or simply a peaceful afternoon outside, they became part of something bigger: a growing community committed to kindness, presence and giving back.
